Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information DeeroTv keeps about you, why, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the service.
Who we are
DeeroTv is run by a small independent team in Somalia. We are responsible for the information described here.
What we collect
Your phone number and name; your plan; your device model and a device identifier (for the one-device rule and the one-time Explore); your profiles, profile pictures, My List, likes and watch progress; the ratings and comments you post; what you play (to count views); your notification settings, and a push token if you allow notifications; and messages you send to support.
Why we use it
To create and run your account and plan, keep your place in what you watch, show each profile its own list, send the notifications you choose, see which channels and titles are popular, keep the service safe and fair, and help you when you contact us.
What others can see
Comments you post show your profile name and picture, and your star ratings count toward a title’s average. Nothing else about your account is shown to other viewers.
On your phone
Downloads, App lock and your settings stay on your phone. App lock uses your phone’s own fingerprint, face or PIN check; we never receive your fingerprint, face or PIN.
Ads
Ads in DeeroTv are the same for everyone. We do not use what you watch to choose them.
Sharing
We do not sell your information. We share it only with services needed to run DeeroTv (for example, Google Firebase to deliver notifications), or when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account exists. Records of what you played are kept for up to 12 months; after that only anonymous totals remain. When you delete your account, your profiles, lists, history, comments, ratings and support messages are deleted.
Children
DeeroTv is not meant for children under 13 without a parent. Parents can use a Kids profile. If we learn we hold information about a child under 13 without a parent’s involvement, we delete it.
Security
Passwords are stored in scrambled (hashed) form and we take reasonable steps to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password private.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it. In the app you can clear your watch and search history (Settings → Privacy), delete your comments, remove your profile picture, turn notifications off (Settings → Notifications), and delete your account (Settings → Delete account in the app, or the Delete account page on our website). We handle your information in line with Somalia’s data protection law.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date above and tell you in the app about important changes.
